Set among the combes of the Mendip Hills, Mells Park is one the finest examples of the English country house. The Grade 1 listed parkland and lakes date back to the eighteenth century and provide a stunning backdrop for this long established high pheasant shoot. The natural topography of the estate combined with the strategically positioned cover crops provides a variety of testing pheasant drives such as Keeper Dick's, the Duckery and the Serpentine. Tor Rock typifies the idyllic English country drive with the guns lined-up at the foot of the arboretum with their backs to the lakes.
